I think that people allow their responsibilities to deter them from pursuing the things that make them happy. And I don’t necessarily mean on a grand scheme like becoming the Ultimate Fighting Champion at age 75. I mean little things. Things you do to make yourself happy. I know I personally allow my responsibilities to interfere with my hopes and dreams. In certain times of doubt on whether or not you’ll be a success in this life you have to remain optimistic. There was a time in my life when I was flat broke, on the bus, living in my parents house and looking for work everyday.
And it wasn’t that long ago.
Now, I’m living in my own place, got a car and a job that helps me support myself in my new reality. Most suffering is only temporary as long as you can find a way to remain focused on your goal and get out of whatever rut you’re in. If everything always seems to go wrong you must ask yourself ‘What can I do to make this better?’ Because there’s always a better way. Just as sure as things can go wrong, things can aways get better. Remain optimistic and walk towards the goals you want to achieve. Enjoy the rest of your day.
